Engagement
How to work with CEACM
CEACM organises its work into six packages and four engagement modes. The packages describe what is delivered; the modes describe how the support is arranged. Most clients combine one or two packages with the mode that fits the stage of the project.
Packages
Six packages, A to F.
Engagement modes
Four ways to engage.
| Mode | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Monthly commercial support | Regular project administration, payment follow-up, issue registers, correspondence review and senior management reporting. |
| Task-specific assignment | Preparation or review of a claim, variation, final account, tender submission, cost report or contractual position paper. |
| Project-based deployment | Integrated commercial and contract management support during construction, rehabilitation, emergency works or close-out. |
| Independent review | A second review of entitlement, quantum, programme-commercial interface, claim quality, payment position or dispute risk. |
How an engagement starts
- You tell us about the contract, the stage reached and the decision needed.
- We reply with questions and, where useful, a short scope note.
- We agree confidentiality terms where required.
- Scope, deliverables and fees are agreed in writing before work begins.
- We receive the contract documents and records and start with the facts and the obligations map.
What we usually need from you
The contract documents (including Particular Conditions and any financier requirements), instructions and variation orders, correspondence, the programme, payment certificates and applications, and the records relevant to the event or issue.
Confidentiality
Client information, commercial records and project documents are treated as confidential. Please do not send confidential material through the website form; we will agree a secure route.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
How are fees set?
Fees depend on the scope, the mode and the stage of the project. Scope and fees are agreed in writing before work begins. We do not publish rates on this website.
Can we start with a single task?
Yes. A task-specific assignment, such as reviewing one claim or one payment application, is a common starting point.
Can CEACM work alongside our existing team?
Yes. CEACM can support, review or lead the commercial side while your team runs the works.
Does CEACM work for both sides of a contract?
No. CEACM acts for the party that engages it on a project and does not act for the other party on the same project.
