Questions
Frequently asked questions
What does a contracts manager do on a construction project?
A contracts manager makes sure the parties follow the contract: that notices are given on time, instructions and variations are recorded, correspondence is accurate, payment applications are supported and the commercial position is reported to management. CEACM provides this function as a service.
Who sends contractual notices, CEACM or the project team?
Notices are issued by the party under the contract, with its authority and signature. CEACM drafts and reviews them, checks the clause references and time limits, and keeps the notice log.
What is a contractual calendar?
A calendar of the dates that the contract sets or implies: notice periods, submission dates, response periods, payment due dates and completion milestones. It is built from the contract documents and updated as events occur.
Can CEACM support an existing project team?
Yes. Depending on the engagement mode, CEACM can support, review or lead the commercial side while the project team continues to run the works.
